Screaming sport fans can now take a break from damaging their vocal cords while watching their loved ones play the beautiful game of soccer. Many community soccer clubs in the United States and in Canada are implementing a code of silence where the parents and coaches on the side lines must refrain from making comments from the peanut gallery. Many parents feel that this is a good rule to enforce for the sideliners since they often get carried away thinking the young players are playing for the world cup. In the heat of the game many adults get carried away yelling derogatory remarks to the young referees, to the opponents, and many shout brutal remarks to their children. This is a great step towards stoping this insane behaviour in order to allow young athletes to have fun and be able to decide and learn from their own mistakes. By shouting on the sidelines some players get more nervous and often confused. It takes the fun away from them and many often quit the sport because they can not cope with the screamfest. So next time you go to watch your kids's game implement the not to scream practice even if your soccer club has not enforced it yet.
